Situated within the lakeside edge of the Willits neighborhood in Basalt, this residence exemplifies the quiet authority of mountain-modern design — open volumes, carefully sourced materials, and a palette drawn entirely from the surrounding high-desert landscape.

All countertops were various quartzites, all cabinets were Lauriermax Cabinetry finishes.

Project Details

Today, the Lipkin Warner Design & Planning Team is completing its vision for the community as architect, builder and developer of Lake Modern, the last remaining parcel in Willits and the final phase of development within the town.

The Lightfoot Group LLC, along with Lauriermax, now offers additional high-end finishes that we incorporated into the design of Building One, which was completed in 2025 and sold out before completion. Lauriermax standard finishes now include Egger from Germany and Cleaf from Italy, which complement the Modern Mountain cabinet design that we chose for Lake Modern.

We are currently under construction on Lake Modern Building Two, which will be completed in 2026.
